If you have not still applied for RPF SI recruitment but would like to go for it, please visit my blog post titled: RPF Sub-Inspector Recruitment 2011 Notification, Eligibility & Forms.

Pattern of RPF Sub-Inspector Exam:
RPF Sub-Inspector Exam Pattern
The written exam of RPF SI exam consists of a single paper with 3–sections, containing 120 questions worth 120 marks to be answered in 90 minutes. You can find the break-up of section-wise marks in the table at right.

There is negative marking – while for each correct answer you get 1 mark, for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks would be deducted. Hence your guesses should be wise ones. Also, as you can find, you have answer one question every 45 second – hence managing time here is an important factor. Also to be eligible for the next stages of selection processes you need to score minimum 40% (35% for reserved categories) marks in the written test as shown above.
